Account & Login
I forgot my password
- Go to the login page
- Click "Forgot Password?"
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for a password reset link
- Click the link and create a new password
- Log in with your new password
Email not received?
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Wait a few minutes and try again
- Request a new reset email from the login page
I can't log in to my account
Check the following:
- ✅ Email address is correct (case-insensitive)
- ✅ Password is correct (case-sensitive)
- ✅ Caps Lock is not on
- ✅ Your email has been verified (check your inbox for verification email)
- ✅ Your internet connection is working
Still stuck?
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try logging in from a different device

I'm logged out frequently
This may be due to:
- Cookie settings in your browser
- Browser cache clearing
- Security policy on shared devices
Solution:
- Make sure cookies are enabled
- Uncheck "Clear cookies on exit" in browser settings
- On shared devices, log out manually after each session
Map & Location Issues
The map won't load
On Mobile:
- Check your internet connection (WiFi or cellular)
- Enable GPS/Location Services in device settings
- Restart the app
- Try toggling airplane mode off/on
On Web:
- Refresh the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
- Clear browser cache
- Try a different web browser
- Disable browser extensions (ad blockers, VPNs)
GPS accuracy is poor
GPS accuracy depends on:
- Open sky (away from trees and buildings)
- Time spent in field (more time = better accuracy)
- Device GPS quality
Improve accuracy:
- Stand in an open area away from tall structures
- Wait 30-60 seconds for GPS to lock
- Check that GPS is enabled on mobile device
- Use a GPS booster antenna (optional accessory)
I can't draw field boundaries
Check:
- Map has loaded fully (blue/satellite tiles visible)
- You have permission to edit fields (ask admin)
- Device has sufficient storage space
- Internet connection is stable
Try:
- Zoom in on the field before drawing
- Use smaller segments (fewer points) for faster drawing
- Draw the boundary during daylight if on mobile
- Try drawing on web if mobile is having issues
Scouting Reports
I can't create a new report
Make sure:
- ✅ You have at least one field set up
- ✅ You have "Scout" permission (ask your admin)
- ✅ Your app is up to date
- ✅ You have internet connection
Try:
- Refresh/reload the app
- Log out and back in
- Clear app cache (mobile: Settings → Apps → GroundedAg → Storage → Clear Cache)
Photos won't upload in reports
On Mobile:
- Grant camera and photo library permissions
- Settings → GroundedAg → Permissions
- Check available storage on device
- Clear app cache to free space
- Use cellular or WiFi (not satellite internet)
- Try uploading one photo at a time
On Web:
- Check file size (images should be under 10 MB)
- Use a supported format (JPG, PNG)
- Try a different browser
- Disable browser extensions
Report won't save/submit
This usually means:
- Missing required fields (field, date, at least one observation)
- Internet connection lost
- Session timed out
Fix:
- Review the error message for missing fields
- Fill in all required fields (marked with *)
- Save as draft first, then submit
- Check internet connection
- Log out and back in
- Contact support if error persists
Data & Sync
My data isn't syncing across devices
GroundedAg syncs data in real-time when connected:
- Check internet connection on both devices
- Make sure you're logged in with the same account
- Wait 30 seconds for sync to complete
- Refresh the app/page
- Log out and back in
For mobile:
- Go to Settings → Check sync status
- Toggle airplane mode off/on to refresh connection
For web:
- Refresh the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R)
- Check browser network tab (F12) for connection errors
I see older data instead of latest updates
- Refresh the page/app
- Web: Ctrl+R or Cmd+R
- Mobile: Pull-to-refresh (if available) or restart app
- Force cache clear
- Mobile: Settings → Apps → GroundedAg → Storage → Clear Cache
- Web: DevTools → Application → Clear Site Data
- Log out and back in
Performance
The app is slow or laggy
On Mobile:
- Close other apps running in background
- Reduce map zoom level (if zoomed in too far)
- Check available device storage (delete old photos if needed)
- Restart the device
- Update to the latest app version
On Web:
- Disable browser extensions
- Use Chrome or Firefox (best performance)
- Clear browser cache
- Reduce number of reports/observations displayed
- Check internet speed (test at speedtest.net)
Map is slow to pan/zoom
- Zoom to a smaller area (too much data slows map)
- Hide some layers (turn off less important field markers)
- Close other browser tabs
- Check internet connection speed
