Accessing Reports & Charts
On Mobile:
- Tap the Reports tab
- Select a field or date range
- View charts and summaries
On Web:
- Click Reports in the sidebar
- Choose filters (field, date range, grower, etc.)
- Charts auto-generate from your data
Available Charts & Reports
Observation Summary
- Count by Type - How many weeds, insects, diseases, general observations
- Trends Over Time - How observation frequency changes week-to-week or month-to-month
- Most Common Issues - Which pests or diseases appear most frequently
Weed Pressure Chart
- Bar chart showing weed species and frequency
- Identifies dominant weed problems
- Helps prioritize control strategies
Insect Population Tracking
- Monitors beneficial vs. pest insects over time
- Charts population trends
- Alerts if pest populations spike
Disease Incidence
- Tracks disease occurrence across the field
- Shows disease progression over time
- Helps time control applications
Field Health Dashboard
- Overall field condition summary
- Key metrics and trends
- Visual indicators (green = healthy, yellow = caution, red = concern)
Filtering & Customizing Reports
Time Filters:
- Date Range - Choose specific weeks, months, or custom dates
- Compare Periods - Overlay different time ranges
- Season View - Analyze full growing season data
Field Filters:
- Filter by Grower, Farm, or Field
- Compare multiple fields side-by-side
- Zoom in on specific problem areas
Data Filters:
- Show/hide specific observation types
- Filter by severity level
- Include/exclude archived reports
Interpreting the Data
Peak Infection/Infestation:
Charts help identify when problems are most severe, guiding spray timing and management decisions.
Field Variability:
Multiple observations across a field show where problems concentrate, enabling targeted treatment.
Seasonal Trends:
Historical data reveals patterns, helping predict future pressure and plan proactive controls.
Generating Reports
Create a Custom Report:
- Select your filters (field, date range, observation types)
- Choose "Generate Report" or "Create Report"
- Select output format:
- PDF - Formatted report with charts (print-friendly)
- CSV - Data for spreadsheet analysis
- GeoJSON - Map data with observation locations
- Download or email the report
Scheduling Reports:
For web users, you can schedule recurring reports:
- Go to Reports → "Schedule Report"
- Set frequency (weekly, monthly, seasonal)
- Choose recipients and format
- Save
Scheduled reports will be automatically generated and sent on the specified dates.
Data Export for Analysis
Export full datasets for deeper analysis:
CSV Export:
- All observation data in spreadsheet format
- Includes dates, locations, observation types, counts
- Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or Python
GeoJSON Export:
- Geospatial data with observation locations
- Import into GIS software (QGIS, ArcGIS)
- Layer with satellite imagery for spatial analysis
See Data Export for more details.
Tips for Better Insights
✅ Scout Consistently - Regular observations create meaningful trends ✅ Use Consistent Naming - Standardize weed/insect names for clearer charts ✅ Include Metadata - Add weather, soil, and treatment notes for context ✅ Review Charts Monthly - Spot trends early for timely action ✅ Compare with Other Fields - Identify field-specific vs. regional problems
